About Mihaela Ribičić Penava

Mihaela Ribičić Penava is a Full Professor at the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, with extensive experience in higher education teaching. Her work includes substantial engagement in mathematical research, with particular expertise in mathematical inequalities, their applications, and generalizations of convexity. She contributed to the Erasmus+ project GAMMA (Game-based Learning in Mathematics), where she participated in the development of teaching scenario templates and game-based learning materials, working closely with international partners to ensure alignment of pedagogical approaches. As President of the Osijek Mathematical Society, she promoted collaboration between university students, school teachers, and pupils, coordinated cooperation between universities, schools, and external experts, and led and contributed to the organisation of nationally and internationally recognized professional and scientific events.
