Mirka Leino
Biography
Sc (Tech) Mirka Leino is a post-doc researcher with more than 20 years of professional work experience in machine vision, intelligent robotics, welfare technology, and technology transfer. One of her personal interests is also to share expertise and practical experiences with children and young people, thereby enabling as many young people as possible to pursue careers in STEM subjects. Mirka is highly interested in innovations created in collaboration with partners in industry, social and health care and education. Mirka works currently as a Principal Lecturer and Chief Researcher at RoboAI research center, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences. She has over 20 years of professional lecturing experience in machine vision, robotics, welfare technology and electronics. She has led the RoboAI Academy and developed its pedagogical model for technology project work for almost eight years.
